What are important things we as change agent may take care!
In a normal sense we often get up with an idea to do something, that might be an impulse which, comes to us due to a need /adventurism and due to some issues we as activist / change agent wrap up our rope across our waste to do something, or some challenges of society motivate us to get up for contributing.
But in the NGO scene we often comes up with a pre set idea that has been emanated to some planner at a support organization or a donor wants to put some contribution into a thematic issue and may be our own thinkers are willing to do something in the field.
The idea is there to carry out the work, so how to act shrewdly so as the endeavors we put that may meet to success. We as NGO worker often get some pre-written text that is for our guidance so we may follow those whatever they say and instruct us.
Now lets assume we are ready , and we have accepted/agreed the idea, so now we are ready to sow the seed of change let see we are now ready as social development activist / change agent or an NGO paid worker, so what shall we take care before going into the field.
Before going into the field:
So lets make a list what shall we do in the field, for example that could be that we may list down those all the peers workers or organization or the institutes /entities those are already doing such nature of job in our area or what does the internet/online sources or help is available. We must tap those all to get our well more strong and prepare our self to get in the field.
We may get the facts of that community what are its ground realities, I think we may know the support and the those which may be resilient, in short we may know those people which are supportive and help us in our work and also we may know those people who are unsporting , uncooperative and negative to the work we have designed to implement in the field.
What are the facts of the community, and how we gather the information and who is the first man/women who will support us in the field. the selection of our first spark plays a good role for us in the coming days.
The first contact person of the community:
It is very crucial and all the things will prove false or get successful those are dependent to the selection of the first person /contact. It is like a building a building or a road, so for the construction we often take care of the building base or sub base of the road. Engineer design a building according to the future need or the need of the building owner if he /she want to build multistory building so its necessary that may be started with a appropriate (what are the standards say)foundation.
So the person selection may be done with a good researching and verifying the searched from the others.
